Flights to Inverness

We are based in the outskirts of the beautiful city of Inverness, otherwise known as the Gateway to the Highlands. It’s quicker, easier and more affordable to come here than you may think.

Below are the current destinations to and from Inverness Airport, which is less than 10 minutes drive from our home.

Scheduled Flights

Scheduled flights operate between Inverness and London Gatwick, Heathrow (starting May 2016), London Luton, Amsterdam, Belfast City, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Stornoway in the Western Isles, Kirkwall in Orkney and Sumburgh in Shetland, plus seasonal flights to Geneva.

Getting To Inverness By Rail

  • Travel to Inverness Station (INV) – Station Square, Academy Street, Inverness, Highland, IV2 3PY (Googlemap here). Buy tickets online from the
  • Scotrail – Tel: 0845 7550 003 – Scotrail operates a range of services in Scotland as well as the daily (except Saturday evenings) sleeper service from London Euston to Inverness.
  • GNER – Tel: 0845 7225 225 – operate a range of services in Scotland and from London to the Highlands. Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) run fast, frequent passenger rail services on the East Coast Main Line from London King’s Cross via the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland. Most GNER trains ran between London King’s Cross and either Edinburgh Waverley or Leeds. From Edinburgh and Waverley, selected services continue on to Inverness.


Getting To Inverness By Road

The main road routes to and from the Highlands are:

  • A9 Stirling – Perth – Aviemore – Inverness – Thurso
  • A96 Aberdeen – Nairn – Inverness
  • A82 Fort William – Inverness (via Loch Ness)
  • A835 Ullapool – Dingwall – Inverness (via A9)

Several coach operators run daily services to the Highlands from Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, with connections available from all other parts of the UK. For further information:
